CDF-qualified Census Tracts

CDF considers potential NMTC investments that  are located within the City of Chicago, meet NMTC program eligibility, and meet federal criteria for Economic Distress. NMTC program eligibility requires a Census Tract poverty rate greater than 20% or Median Income less than 80% Area Median Income.  Economic Distress is based on either Census Tract demographics  and/or site-specific criteria.

Please note, this map is provided as a convenience to users as a preliminary indication of potential NMTC eligibility, and may not be relied upon for any purpose.

Applicants for financing from Chicago Development Fund are responsible for independently verifying NMTC eligibility at the time of application submittal and prior to any financial closing.

Please also feel free to contact Chicago Development Fund with questions about a project’s eligibility for NMTC.
